The new bullet catchers were fitted on the range yesterday. These bullet catchers were based on the prototype that was fitted on lane 2 for the last year except that the deflection plate was made completely out of ABRO 500 hardened steel.

The work was started at 11am and completed around five o'clock. It consisted of completely removing all the target frames, the splashback curtain and mounting timbers, all steel plates and anti-splashback measures, removing the bottom three covering timbers to allow the bullet catchers to be attached and rebuilding the pelmet for the curtain to bring it further forward.
