The Autumn Indoor Open will be held at Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club on Saturday/Sunday 18th/19th September 2010. This is an Open competition, no membership requirement necessary.
This competition will incorporate a 3x20 3P event to be run in the order of Prone, Standing and Kneeling.
In addition to the normal details on Sunday, an extra detail is available on the evening of Thursday 16th September for those unable to attend on Sunday. This detail will only be run if there is sufficient demand.
Booking is available now for all details/competitions. You must log in to avail of the booking feature which will be available from the menu on the left after you have logged in.

The committee of RRPC wish to congratulate all the shooters that have represented Ireland in competitions abroad over the previous week.
Gary Duff, Ray Kane and Peter Friend shot in various events in the ISSF 50th World Cup in Munich.
There were also a contingent shooting Benchrest Rifle in the Czech Republic, with the Irish team performing well in the Light Vermen Class. |

Thank you to all who supported the Benchrest Pistol and Benchrest Rifle competitions last weekend the 24th and 25th of July. The turnout was relatively small for both with seven shooting pistol and 12 shooting rifle.
Benchrest Pistol
Congratulations to Richard Gregg of Castlebridge Invitational Pistol Club (CIPC) who holds the new record for Benchrest Pistol with a score of 589 with 25 inner tens (Benchrest Pistol Record Card). His brother Nicholas came second with a 578 and Colin Pearce made it a clean sweep for Castlebridge taking third. The full results Benchrest Pistol Comp 240710
Benchrest Rifle
Patsy Tyrrell won the HV Class with a score of 500 with 44 X's, Dave Trumper came second with 500 and 40 X's, Noel Kennedy came first in the LV and the IS Classes with Mat Condon second to him on both occasions.

Joe Conroy of Fermoy Rifle Club won the air pistol match held on Sunday 25th April 2010. Joe scored 548/600 and was followed in second place by Caroline O'Brien of Rathdrum Rifle and Pistol Club with a score of 527 and in third place by John O'Brien also of Rathdrum with a score of 512.

Rathdrum Rifle & Pistol Club was founded in 1961 and currently owns an indoor range situated at Brewery Place Rathdrum (Location Map) , which was built by the members in 1963. The club’s facilities are used by the members for target shooting to International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) and Olympic standard. Our current premises is located in the centre of Rathdrum and contains a seven point 25 yard and 25 metre range equipped with Megalink electronic targets. The range was built and financed by the founding members of the club in 1963.
